Emily and the Big Surprise (TTTE Story)

One beautiful day on the Island of Sodor, Emily was working hard. She had delivered passengers to Knapford Station twice, got a brand new coat of paint, shunted coal, and had to help Percy get to the top of Gordon's Hill. After all of that, Emily was relieved that she could FINALLY go to Tidmouth Sheds to rest. Even better, Thomas would be there! Emily always admired Thomas, mainly because he was so friendly she first arrived on Sodor. But however, Emily personally thought he was handsome.

"Hello, Thomas!" she exclaimed. "Hi, Emily," replied Thomas, "You look tired, did you have a long day?" Emily sighed. "Yes, indeed I did. But I'm glad I can unwind now." She then backed up into her shed and her driver then closed the doors. "C'mon," Thomas said under his breath, "This your chance to tell Emily you like her, don't chicken out!" With that, he finally got the guts and turned his eyes towards Emily. Before he wanted to say what he's ALWAYS wanted to say to the love of his life, Thomas took a moment to look at her gleaming brass fittings, chocolate running-boards, bronze buffers, and most of all, her big, dark green colored wheel. Afterwards, he finally got the words, "Emily, I love you." out his mouth. Emily was surprised at first, but then, she actually thought it was kinda cute that handsome engine that SHE loved, as well, loved her back. "T-thank you, Thomas." she stuttered while blushing.

"You're welcome," Thomas retorted, blushing along with Emily, "I've always a crush on you, ever since you came onto Sodor, and now I felt now was a good time to tell you." They both smiled ear-to-ear, and the next day, Emily and Thomas spent the WHOLE day together. Eventually, they become boyfriend-girlfriend, got married, and lived happily ever after.
